I've found a used Leblanc infinity clarinet. The person said it was used for about 7 months. It retailed for $2700 and is selling for 1200. What questions should I ask? Is this a good deal? Where in the line of Le
Blancs does this clarinet stand? professional? thanks for your help.

The Leblanc Infinity is designed as the direct competitor to the Buffet R-13 and so is a professional grade instrument. I haven't tried one but there have been several favorable comments about them on this board. Check the Woodwind and Brasswind prices on new ones, then see how that compares with what he is asking.
As for its position in the Leblanc lineup.
Leblanc Vito - beginner instrumen
Leblanc Normandy - step up instrument
Leblanc Noblet 40 & 45 - intermediate instruments
Leblanc Sonata - between intermediate & pro
Leblanc Infinity - standard pro instrument, direct competitor to the standard Buffet R-13
Leblanc Concerto - premium pro grade instrument
Leblanc Opus - premium pro grade with extra keys as standard

I don't have my WW&BW catalog, but they sell the Infinity for far less than the $2700 dollar retail figure. So be sure to check their prices to use as a bargaining point.
The $1200 *may* be reasonable for a used Infinity or it may possibly be too much depending on what a smart shopper can find for a new price.

You can get a new Leblanc Infinity with silver plated keys off WWandBW for around $1500. If the decrease in price is worth it to you, go for it.
