Hi,
Has anyone bought his mouthpiece recently or are still using? The last time I saw a discussion topic on Clark Fobes mouthpiece was in 2001 I think.
A lot of people has mentioned his Debut Student mouthpiece, but less has been said about the higher models recently...
Is there a difference between the Nova and San Francisco Model? (for the same CF+ facing) Has anyone tried both models together side by side?

Hey Ice.. it was a clarke w fobes debut Bb mouthpiece.
Arrived today so I'll give it a run tonight and let you know tomorrow.
I anticipate that this will be way better than the standard comes-with-the-instrument mouthpiece. But I will certainly let you know tomorrow.

I bought a Debut for my little sister. MUCH better than the 'comes-with-the-instrument' mouthpiece (like the description, btw!) Haven't tried the clark fobes nova or SF though.

I bought a Clarke Fobes Zinner CF* and I LOVE IT!!! Great response, intonation, and tone. No complaints. I even like how he puts a serial number on the mouthpieces. It makes it even more of a collectors item. I have had it for about 3 weeks and I tried out several other brands but this one was hands down the best. I did try out 6 of the Fobes and just 1 of them had the golden glow that said BUY ME. Overall the mouthpieces did play just as well as the other brands that I tried.

Hey there.. assembled, played it and it sounds like a dream. I think my clary wasn't exactly in tune so my notes came out very high.. but I can't tell you how clear and easily they came out. Demonstrated for my mom and she wasn't quite happy I was interrupting her evening show. LOL. But she was a trooper and said it sounded wonderful. Definitely a recommended and good buy. I played different scales and each note came out very clear, not airy, and with no extra effort at all.
