 Super cool!

Hehe, this has nothing to do with clarinets, but today I just recieved a flute (Floop, as I call it) that I ordered from someone in Canada. She was trying to sell an Emerson "Nickle" flute on ebay for $100, but no one had bid on it. When the auction ended, I offered her $75 ($100 altogether including shipping from Canada to the US) and she agreed. From the picture, I could tell it was an open holed flute with inline G and C foot, which is really nice.

I just got it today and it's nicer than the picture and her description. It's actually a silver Armstrong. My assumptions about the picture were correct. My flute friend told me, however, that people are starting to prefer offset G flutes, but inline works alright for me. It's perfect for me to learn on and it's in good condition. It just looks like someone left a hot iron on the case, with the shape of the iron left imprinted on it and the handle is melted. lol

Good deal for $100?

An excellent deal. A repad of an open-hole flute is more than the price you paid.

Contragirl, you thief.

Glad it had top do with a floop... er, make that flute. When I read "Super cool!" I thought maybe you'd found a giant Clarinet painted like a barber pole, or somethin'.

Hmmm... idea, eh?

Regards,
John

Not a chance. It's on the side of a motel in New Orleans, where jazz began on simple system clarinets. It was on the cover of Clarinet Magazine a couple of years ago when the ClarientFest was in Noor Leans.
