Hello all
Here's a question for all you bass clarinet gurus out there :-)
I'm working on the bass clarinet solo in the Rite of Spring at figure 48 (Rondes Printanieres) and suddenly realised that I'm not quite sure what all of the grace notes should be...
Every time I've played this the part has had several layers of different crossings out on the grace notes, and I'm wondering if there is a single correct version, or if this was something that was changed when Stravinsky revised the score
Specifically:
In bar 4, my part has the grace notes printed as E-flat F (which is what is played on my recording with Stravinsky conducting), but I've often seen G written in place of the F.
In bar 5, my part has a written E-flat grace note, but an F pencilled in instead. My recording with Stravinsky conducting has an F.
In bar 6, there is no written C grace note before the final G, but this usually seems to be played to match the E-flat clarinet. Again this is played on the Stravinsky recording I own.
I'd love to hear which of these notes other people play in this solo, and why.
Regards
Mark Cookson

Is there an "urtext" of Le Sacre ... I've only got the Kalmus mini score ... and we ALL know that Kalmus NEVER publishes music without errors, ever.
