I was looking into trading in my wooden Buffet clarinet as I haven't used it for ages. I originally got it used (early 80's) Now I'm trying to figure out what it is. The only numbers that look like a serial number are on the barrel. R13B68. The bell says Carl Fischer who I believe was the imported (from research onlline.) The number I found doesn't fit the serial number lists I've found online. Please help!

Check the lower portion of both the upper and lower joints for the serial number. They (hopefully) should match.
The number designation on the barrel is not the serial number of the clarinet...GBK

Check with Buffet-crampon.com--------maybe they can help you. Email them the serial nos. and see what they say. I'm looking for a "wooden Buffet R13" myself. Got a plastic Buffet R13 and a Bundy. When I emailed the serial no. of my "plastic R13'(bought it on Ebay) to see if it was wooden,They got back to me within 24-48 hours.

No need to do that.
Serial number lists for older Buffet clarinets are on this web site, the Buffet site (The Music Group) and numerous other locations...GBK
