I finally found a couple good reeds. It may have been the weather effecting them, but I found about 4 good reeds/ potential good reeds. Some have the sound I want, but just don't have that "feel" I was talking about. Also, some just don't have stability on the higer notes.
I think I may give up on the Gigliotti P34 mpc, though. I get a better articulation on the M13Lrye with my Bay lig. I use a Bonade inverted on the Gig.
Does anyone know if there are any major differences between the two mpcs M13 vs Gig? And how does the P (not P34) compare to the M13? Who here plays a Gig and likes it?
I really liked the beak incline on the Gig, but it just doesn't have the articulation I want for some reason. I want to try a P, but I got the P34 for free.

OK now you've got a start - don't throw the old reeds away. Get a reed finishing system and revitalise them. Just got my ATG two days ago and am impressed - after 1/2 hr I improved what I already thought were 6 great reeds.

The P should have the same tip as the P34. The P34 just has a shorter table. I really REALLY like my gigliotti P. And I didn't like the M13s at all when I tried them. The M15s I did though. And right now I'm playing a Greg Smith 1* facing (most closed) and loving that, with my trustworthy and reliable 'ol gigliotti as a backup in case of the worst [knocks on wood].

BTW, a free P34! You lucky lucky girl!

Glad at least you're happy. A sudden shift in weather here has trashed all my good reeds. They'll be fine once our heat wave ends... hopefully I can find one to manage for a concert tonight.
