I read about Rossi clarinets in the latest issue af the Clarinet, they sound wonderful. What experience has anyone had with these instruments? Are there *better* clarinets out there?!

"The Clarinet" is the publication of The International Clarinet Association (ICA). More information is available at their web site - http://www.clarinet.org.

There are a few folks out there who own Rossi clarinets. From what I can tell from the folks who post here frequently, they are exquisite horns. No clarinet is totally exempt from problems, including the Rossi. However, you are definitely in the uppermost level of the premium pro grade horns with this brand.
If money is no object, go for a hand made beauty like a Rossi. Check out Peter Eaton's horns, too.

I own two Rossi's (a Bb and an A). They are indeed superb instruments. There are many posts on the Rossi on this Board. There is no need to repeat them once more.
As a matter of comparison, my two Rossi cost me less than an average upright piano. Clarinets (even the best) are one of the most affordable instrument.
