 altieri clarinet bags

i really want to get a case cover for my clarinet. ive done a lot of research but can't find exactly how big an altieri single clarinet case is. i want a case that is durable, but i don't want one that is huge cause then ill just end up putting way too much stuff in it. if someone could give me the dimensions of their altieri single or give me a description of how much room they have in their bag and how much stuff they can get inside, that would be fantastic.

The bag & case manufacturers provide custom & ready-made bags & cases. The U.S. creme-de-la-creme in bags are made by Olathe & Altieri. But offer the extras like double zippers (a must IMO), double pockets, shoulder strap, reinforced handles, & insulation. Olathe is a little bit less $$$ but very excellent quality. You can buy directly or go through the catalogues - Weiner Music, Muncy Winds, IMS, WW&BW & others. As usual, the catalogues are CHEAPER but custom orders should go directly to the manufacturer (you call them & fax them a diagram). Case covers work similarly with the addition of Cavallaro which is a top manufacturer. Good luck. mw

I use Altieri Single Clarinet Case Cover (Double pocket).

I put Leblanc single clarinet case along with 2 reed cases, K&M stand, mouthpiece pouch, and other small stuff in the main compartment. I'm sure if I put a flute case, it would be comfortably carried on top of my Leblanc case all together in the case cover.

The pockets are large enough to accommodate full size score. I do sometimes carry collapsible music stand in the pocket.

One problem: You can carry all the clarinet related stuff at home in this case cover and it tends to get QUITE HEAVY...If you can control your urge to bring your neat stuff everywhere, this bag is awesome! My advice would be to get a Deluxe version of the cover, which comes with double pocket and Backpack Shoulder Straps. It will be much easier to carry on your back, not on one shoulder when it's stuffed.

Outside measures about 12" x 18" x 6.5"(+ pocket part) (30x40x16cm)

I have two double cases with Altieri covers, one on a Buffet case and the other on the LeBlanc case that came with my Concerto A. They have both lasted many years and are functional. But, as mentioned above, they tend to become a bit heavy because of all the carrying space with front and back external compartments--the rear being large enough for my entire music folio(s). The shoulder strap is sturdy and comfortable and there is some light padding for extra instrument protection and insulation from the cold. They are custom made to the size of your own case and are not expensive.
