Can anyone tell me the difference between Selmer's model 33 & 37 bass clarinets? I have tried out a new 37 in the shop, and have seen a couple of 33's for sale on this and other sites. Are there significant differences, or is the 37 just the more recent name?
Thanks

Since no one has responded, I'll try. I believe there are a number of discussions re: basses in the archives, retrievable by search, Mark? I have what is an equivalent to a 33, and except for its being made for large-handed players, its the best I've found re: tonal character and tuning. Its full-Boehm, except for the Eb/Bb fork [as on the sop. F-B], and trying out both Sel and Buff low C models a while ago, I didnt find any great differences, so I just play it happily, sometimes too loudly!! Don
