Does anyone have any experience to share, concerning the Patricola CL2 Bb clarinet?

coke-
Patricolas have been a frequent topic on the BB (and I a regular poster on the topic). Do a quick search and see if your question is answered. The short answer is nice action, nice sound, useless funky thoat Bb mechanism, occasionally squirreley intonation. Also very pretty.

The scale of these clarinet's is a bit more sensitive to the artist's whims of embouchure... I tend to feel in this way there is a closer semblance to the Selmer clarinet than Buffet in spite of the bore designation. As to whether or not they are bad instruments,
I feel they have a quality of warmth that sometimes lacks in the newer R13s I have tried...there is a lot to be said for them when you consider how well made they are.
As to the R13, a very good one is indeed impressive...although they do put out alot of them at Buffet.....
