Just picked up a Selmer Breveté full Boehm, cheap, in the original shot-to-hell case. Does anyone sell cases for FBs at a reasonable price, or should I start shopping for sheet foam?

Paul - My Selmer full boehm R I model is loaned out to a good friend. Its original case is prob. about 17-18 " long to accommodate the longer L J and is shaped to contain the bell. If you can find a somewhat-longer-than-usual single case, you could prob. lengthen the L J "cradle", or you might want to consider a double case. I use one to hold my best 17/6 Bb, and the open tray easily contains my 17/6 A cl as well. Luck, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Problem solved, at least temporarily. I took my cheap plastic SKB case and "persuaded" it in the direction you suggest...with a hammer. A little powder rose from the underlayer, but as long as it's mostly non-toxic, I have no concern.
