How would one go about installing a LH Ab/Eb lever on a standard R-13? Is it possible? Are some techs able to do this, or is this a manufacturer-only option?
If any previous threads have addressed this particular point, I'll be grateful if someone can point me to 'em. I got way too many returns on my search to sort through.
Many thanks.

It can be done. And it's not too expensive. I was quoted a price of 75 dollars if I wanted it done to a clarinet. That's for the cost of the key mechanism itself and for the minor surgery and labor needed to install it. I've heard it isn't as cosmetically "beautiful" as a clarinet that planned to have one all along, but if you have or choose a clarinet that doesn't have it and love it's sound, it's not hard to add on.
Check a few of the sponsors that work on clarinets and see/ask them if they can do it for you and find out some general prices. THat'd be your best bet since everyone's price might be a little different.
