Where in the world did that come from? Sounds nice, but who is that and how the heck did you find something like that?!

Am I missing something? It's a girl playing the clarinet. I thought it was going to be a cat playing it [rotate].

It's the cat theme from Peter and the Wolf, a particular piece of music that has given me nightmares because it was the selected music when I was in the local youth philharmonic orchestra.

Hey! My clarinet won't go that low. The bottom (6th) note she plays is an E flat.

Yup.

And that girl is Jean on her trusty R-13 with her Dan Johnston mouthpiece (I think), EDII and vandoren reeds...

Its actually just a demonstration to children on what a clarinet is and what a clarinet supposed to sound like...(a cat???)

It's a good demonstration. Peter and the Wolf I think is a great "demo" piece because of the variety of instruments and that it tells a tale (along with some narration) that keeps kids interested. I know I always loved hearing the beginning of my peter and the wolf record. I never made it past the wolf though because when the wolf came on, I'd be tempted to look at the cover which had a scary picture of a wolf and I'd be too scared to continue. So I'd turn it off and quickly run upstairs before the wolf caught me in the basement . . . This was when I was much younger (aka - a few months ago . . .[tongue])

But I swear one of these days to go back and listen to the entire thing. I'll find out who performed on the record I have too. And repost it here just in case anyone was curious.
