Is anyone aware of any early Selmer (Paris) s other than RI, BT, CT, and N series? I saw one one Ebay labelled as a "66". At first I dismissed it, but then I saw a picture of another horn which appeared to have something like a "66" on it.

People seem to call pre-B-T Selmers by their trademarks ("Breveté", "Déposé", "S.G.D.G.", etc.) — when they talk about them at all, which isn't all that often.
There was one exception. Some interesting info on this topic (including an attempt at dating trademarks) previously appeared on a web page called "A Guide to Dating Selmer Clarinets."
Unfortunately the page was taken down last year, I failed to save a copy to disk, and when I wrote the author about it I got no response. So that, it appears, is that...

Interesting K A and Paul - I have a "pre RI/BT" "H Selmer Paris" in dotted oval, a full Boehm, with no discernable ser #s. The bell has above the oval, a music lyre, and below "over-engraved" what looks like H and S. Buying it at a music store close-out years ago, I know no more, but have ?dated? it as early 1920's, perhaps earlier. It plays quite well and the key structure is much the same as my F B RI, a 1932, I believe. Will follow this thread. Don
