My symphonic band in Georgia performed this piece at Carnegie Hall. It's quite nice. I know that the Prelude part is supposed to represent a triumph, majestic. The siclianno is a more laid back feel that sort of sweeps you up and flows. Its the relaxing moment after what would seem to be a "war". Tranquility is my first guess. The Rondo is the fastest and most uplifting part. With the syncapated rhythms you get a sense of true musicmanship!! I hope you enjoy the piece and come to apprecitate it as much as i did. At first it seems trival but when it comes right down to it, that piece was probably the most smooth and flowing piece we performed. I truly reccomend that you talk to your band teacher so that he/she can express to you the feelings that he/she gets!! Good Luck
