Doctors in Denmark say they have conclusive proof that music helps to speed up patient recovery and reduce the perception of pain. Malcolm Brabant reports.

Except for saxophone playing, which has been known to force otherwise recovering patients into pain-induced seizure and irreversable comas.

Reminds me of the story about the critically ill Highlander, who made a miraculous recovery on hearing the skirl of the bagpipes in hospital. Unfortunately, all the other patients took a turn for the worse.
