I have a case that was bought for a Bb clarinet, but I believe it might have been made for an A clarinet. There's just too much space allotted for the joints. Would someone mind measuring the UJ and LJ of an A clarinet (R13 or other) and give me those measurements?

Buffet R-13 A clarinet:
Upper joint (tenon to tenon): 9 1/2" (24.13 centimeters)
Lower joint: 10 13/16" (27.46 centimeters) ...GBK

Do they make single cases for A clarinets? Every A clarinet I've seen for sale comes in a double.o

Yes, cases are made specifically for A clarinets, and some players like to carry them that way taking them to only to gigs where the A clarinet is required. Much like the Effer and Cs.
