Tone

How do you achieve a really good and steady tone? I knoe it has something to do with the air stream, but wad exactly? Also, i tend to go flat whenever i do a crescendo to fortisimo... can tt be prevented?

Always have a steady air support, and that will help. Do lots of long tones etc. to build up good air support and make sure your embouchure always stays the same no matter what dynamic and especially what register. Those two things helped me a lot with my teacher always making a big deal of them. Now I understand.

The crescendo thing sounds alot like you are dropping your draw I guess like someone would do to bend a note without realizing it. The size and shape of your mouth cavity, your tongue position and embouchure are the three main facotrs when it comes to tone quality- so again, make sure you keep that embouchure firm on the sides with pressure from the top lip not the bottom on the mouthpiece (and notice I didn't say your teeth, I meant your top lip in a single lip embouchure) and make sure it always stays the same.
