 NEW Pomarico crystals for Jazz
Author: john gibson

WOW....I just received a couple new crystal MPCs from Riccardo Clerici at Pomarico.....they're open tipped designed for Jazzers....and I'll tell you what.....I didn't think in my wildest dreams they'd be as good as they are. Then again I've not played a bad Pomarico.
I found both easy blowing....full bodied and just bright enough to cut through.
The jazz # has a 1.39mm tip opening with 19mm facing and plays better than any other MPC I've tried on my Leblanc LL.
The jazz ## with a 1.48mm tip and 21mm facing makes my SILVER KING a real competitor again.
I don't think Pomarico will begin the actual marketing of them until March, but you might check with them.
These two crystals are exceptional MPCs and I suggest you give them a try when they're availble.

TKS, JG, RC also sent me the info, and got me to wondering! I still have to try out my new Pom Alto cl mp [in band], but its great for home-doodling and playing with FM! Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

I'm definitely interested in this. Can you give me an idea of the price? Also, where do I write for information? Thanks so much.

A big open bass cl. piece would be nice. Say .100" (2.54mm).

Robert Small..
Pomarico's new crystal Jazz MPC for bass clarinet comes in a 2.58mm tip opening with a 31mm facing......its the Jazz **....and will be available in March......but you might want to contact Riccardo Clerici at Pomarico and talk to him about it,.......I swear....those folks over in Italy are making the best MPCs I've ever played....

John--thanks for the info. 2.58mm sounds about perfect. I currently have a hard rubber bass piece with that facing that Charlie Bay made for me. Great jazz piece. Loud and free-blowing. A crystal piece with similar facing is something I'm probably going to want to have. I e-mailed Pomarico with a request for information on these pieces.
