Technical Info on Barrels for Bb Clarinets
Author: Guy
Date:   1999-02-18 04:21

I'm looking for anything on or links to technical information about clarinet barrels. Without trying to pirate anyone's secrets to success, I would like to find out the how's and why's of barrel design. If anyone knows of any articles written on the subject, with lots of technobabble and measurements, or if you yourself are a barrel designer and would like to share some information, please reply. Thanks!

"Clarinet Acoustics" by O. Lee Gibson, Indian U. Press 1994...

You might want to contact Greg Smith who fits (matches) his hand made mouthpieces with Chadash barrels. He could probably give you some information and tell you how to get in touch with Guy Chadash...

I believe the Hite Web page has info about Moennig barrels..
Good Luck! -P-
