Can someone lend some help? I've checked all over the internet (that I can find), and through archives for info about my Selmer/Bundy Contra Alto. I'm trying to ballpark the age of the instrument based on serial number. Where is such information found?
Thanks.
Happy Christmas!

Did you try emailing the selmer corporation? Sometimes they can help you with something like that.

Yes, I tried that. I could not find a customer service link (email, phone, anything) for Selmer. The local dealer here will not help me (since I had not purchased the horn from their store -- bought through ebay). Any leads how I can contact Selmer directly?

And what a jerk of a local dealer. Talk about having a grudge. Not very professional.

I've chased this one around a little too ... Mark, is there something I'm missing at the Selmer site? As far as I can tell there are references only for saxes and brass instruments. I have found a few other brand-specific serial number lists on the web, but nothing that specifically claims to include bass and contra clarinets.

The addresses are right there for Selmer USA and Selmer Paris, and the Paris part has the tel. number.
Time to get the paper & pen out ...
