Hi,
Just got in the other day Eddie Daniels' CD "The Five Seasons." I must admit I didn't know what to think about the concept, but I have to say that I love this CD. Of course, it's not strictly Vivaldi's Four Seasons. But, to hear the Clarinet doing this work is just wonderful. Plus, Eddie Daniels has such a beautiful sound and wonderful execution.

Rev, did your copy of "Breakthrough" show up? And do I have to refund your money (I hope)?
Regards,
John

Hey there John,
No, it hasn't come yet. I sure hope it does arrive soon! And, I'm sure I'll love it I love anything he does. I even enjoy the Charlie Parker tribute CD he did (not really a Parker fan). I also ordered the CD from Sweden that he did with the Swedish clarinet player (I always forget his name). That should be really great.

Now that you have heard a sample from Reference Recordings, have a listen to the Minnesota Orchestra under Eiji Oue..."Valentino Dances" is my particular favorite...
(I would give their Ebony Concerto cover a miss... it's a little dull.)
