 the real problem...?

Over the last few days there has been a great deal of discussion about the tone of some responses and whether some are too mean spirited and should anonymity be an issue....etc... I think the fact we must remember is we as humans are very cued in to subtle aural and visual cues when talking to other people....voice inflections and facial cues let us interpret as much information as the actual words...maybe more. The written word may be easily misinterpreted when missing this extra info. Anyway.....
There is so much valuable info presented on this board. Thanks to all who participate.

That could be part of the problem. The only thing is, when I imagine some of those posts being said with a smile and in a pleasant tone of voice, they still sound rather nasty.
