 what mouthpiece do I have?
Author: John Morton

I have a Vandoren mouthpiece which appears to be a Profile 88 V13 (it's stamped "13"on one side of the opening, "V" on the other). This mouthpiece does not appear on the Vandoren chart that describes tip opening, facing length, reed suggestions etc. Is there another reference besides the chart at Vandoren's website that will give me this info?

thanks
John

There is such a thing as a V13, a long facing mouthpiece with a tip opening of 116.5. I believe Vandoren discontinued it when they came out with the M15, though I could be wrong on that one. An older Vandoren chart is online at http://www.brassnwoodwind.com.au/vandclarBbmp.htm. They're still available through some outlets.
