I recently acquired a fully restored Selmer Centered Tone, Serial # Q5463, that plays beautifully and is in A1 condition. I plan to keep it and play it, mainly for swing and jazz. Does anyone have a good idea of the value of this instrument?

I should think at least $500, perhaps more to a specialist.

I agree, having 2 at present, both P series, the later one is "best". $600+, the earlier is cracked/banded/tight, asking $400. Good players! Don

[ Don ... Just a reminder that formal sales need to be placed in the Classifieds. I'm assuming you posted prices just for informational purposes only. Thanks ...GBK ]

Correct assumptions, GBK, thanx. Should have E-M'd ! We get these requests too often. I usually assume they are for insurance purposes, but would suggest that estd. values under , say, $200. be ignored as includable in household insurance. Comments/thots? Don
