What is the big difference between the Selmer Recital and the signature models? Do they play differently?

I played Recital for years. Its thick wall and small bore results in a unique warm compact tone. The instrument served me well those years however later on I felt too restricted, not able to produce a big tone. Eventually I switched to Buffet (no maffia).
I did play the Signature once. It is certainly different, less extreme.
Both instruments are quality horns.
You really have to try them by yourself!

The most noticeable difference appears to be bore size.

Having played both for years, I would say that :
Recital has really good sound, very dark but clean and precise. But it is an heavy instrument that is difficult to play for a long time.
Listen to Alessandro Carbonare. Recital+B40 gives a really warm and dark sound. Wonderful. But Carbonare uses special thumb rests, a sort a robocap arm, I don't know the name.
I switched to the Signature because I was fed up with the weight of Recital.
Signature is quite different. Always heavier than a Buffet, but much less than Recital. More easy to handle. This clarinet is probably the best of the market in terms of tuning and homogeneity. The sound is still dark and warm, even if it is less than Recital. Unfortunately, all this rigour in acoustics makes the instrument a bit boring and without personality.
Today, I prefer playing on a Buffet, needing more sound control, less reliable, with worse tuning and bad homogeneity, some notes really weird... but I feel that something happens when I play it, and I love that.
