what do you think of their services? are their prices good? and have you ever ordered with them and experienced problems or difficulties?
Thanks for the feedback, and by the way I'm back =)

I have found the prices to be good. If you email your order you don't pay shipping. Check the items and the site there are exceptions to this rule.
As far as communication I would say they will usually get back to you just not that fast.
I have mostly bought reeds, swabs, and other accessories like that. I bought a case as well (exception to the free shipping rule).
I have never bought an instrument personally so I can't comment on that.

Hi Calvin,
I've dealt with Weiner for about 15 years now. Their prices are excellent. I bought my Buffet R13 from them and get all reeds and accessories there. Their shipping used to be really slow, but it seems to have improved in recent years. I have always used their catalog and toll-free number to order. As far as customer service goes, I have called from time to time and have talked to friendly, knowledgeable people every time. I looked over their website, and it doesn't seem that great. My guess is that they're just not up to speed with the internet end of things yet. Personally, I wouldn't let that stop me from doing business with them. Hope this helps!

I recently went down there, 168 Jericho turnpike, Mineola, on 3 Saturday mornings to get nervously ready for my upcoming performance in Vienna. (Linz) I ended up spending several hundred dollars delighfully, knowing that the price of each item was more than reasonable, a little cheaper than other music stores.
I am very fond of Mark Kasten for his energetic suggestions as well as his gratuitous repair work on my horn. There is also a girl with British accent (she is from South Africa...) whose service is amiable, precise and very resourceful.
Even though it is about an hour drive from where I live, I am willing to get down there any time if need be.

Yes, Weiner's is wonderful. I used to live only 20 minutes away from it, too! Such a great place, they had just about everything that I might want.

I'm not sure what the shipping charge was it was not excessive. I am very sensitive to getting a deal and having the deal go south because the shipping is out of whack.
It may have been around $10.00 - $12.00 for a double case and a few other things I had to have, probably reeds and other small sundries.

Had a probem with them about a year ago. I ordered a Gemmeinhardt flute from them, they had the best price. After a reasonable time from the promised shipping date and the flute had not arrived, I called and got excuses and a priomise for next day shipping. This time I asked for a UPS tracking number, and never got it. After several more days and calls I cancelled the order. At least they had never hit my credit card. I bought the flute from WW&BW for a few dollars more and had it within a week.
I will not attempt to buy from Weiner again.

I ordered a clarinet bag from them in March, and paid no shipping because of a special that was going on at the time. I had it a a little more than a week after ordering it by mail. The prices, from what I can tell, are very very reasonable, with the exception of V12 reeds, which I order out of Texas. I did a lot of research when pricing this bag, because I knew exactly what I wanted, but they were the cheapest on that and several other things. I ordered several other accessories from them in July I think, and once again had a good experience.
