Does anyone have any experience with Hanson Clarinets an English maker of clarinets? Apparently a fairly new company....any info as to quality etc would be appreciated

Yes, I bought one just over a year ago and am very happy with it. I found the clarinet itself to be an excellent student instrument and exceptionally good value for money. I should also say that the personal service and advice that I received from Alastair Hanson was better than that of any of the music shops I visited prior to contacting him. A straightforward and honest Yorkshireman. You can deal with his company with confidence.

I just ordered one of their rosewood professional models...I look forward to putting it through its paces, and I'll issue a full report when I've done so I've heard good things about their student models (The "Storm", isn't it?)
