Hi all -
I have acquired a couple of old clarinets (a Selmer Signet Special and a Leblanc Noblet Model 27) which I'd like to have cleaned/generally overhauled. Can anyone recommend someone in the UK to do this, please? I'd rather go on personal recommendation than risk it via the Yellow Pages!
thanks
Helen
(PS ... locality isn't an issue, as long as said repairer is happy to receive/send by post!)

Helen, I would suggest you check out http://www.shwoodwind.co.uk/. Although I have never observed Steve's work, he seems to know very well what he's talking about in discussions of Clarinet maintenance problems. And he does have a good amount of business.
It's my understanding that many of his clients ship their instruments to him.
Good luck and regards,
John

Rupert Noble who is situated in Western Road, Brighton is very good and very reasonable. I haven't got his telephone number on me, but it will be in the Yellow Pages.

Musical Instrument Repairs based in Halesowen, West Midlands. Mir-sales.co.uk. They have always offered an excellent service to me, so much so that although I live 120 miles away, I won't go anywhere else!
