Any bass clarinetist worth his/her/its salt should be able to play any form of music, whether it be contemporary, jazz or classical ... the only difference here is the idom - not the ability to play IMHO.

I do not want to do yur homework for you either, and as a solo and orchestral performer on bass clarinet i would suggest that you do an internet search for bass clarinet and see what you come up with. in about 15 seconds i found the names of 2 famous dutch bass clarinetist, 1 french, 1 itallian, and 2 americans. and the french player is more of a jazz player.
good luck
bob hoit
if you STILL can't find some names after these hints email me

Brandy - Have you not [yet] found "www.bass-clarinet@yahoogroups.com" ? This discussion [etc] site has many pro players, composers, and mediocres like me, and Kim [group-leader] runs it very well IMHO. Luck, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don
