Age of my "new" Noblet horn?

Hello, folks! I've been surreptitiously reading the posts on this board for some months now, and I've finally taken the plunge and bought myself a clarinet. Used to play in a high school cadet band, more years ago than I'd care to admit, and I thought I'd take it up again for something to do on those cold Nova Scotia nights. I won the thing on eBay last night. It's a metal Noblet/Le Blanc B-flat Boehm system clarinet that looks like it might actually be playable with some new pads and a good cleaning. There is a raised diamond shape Noblet logo on the bell, and the serial number is 1102.

I'm keen to know how old the instrument is. The Noblet/Le Blanc company is notoriously less-than-forthcoming with regard to serial number information, and, in any case, they apparently don't have any records before 1960. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there with a similar horn with a serial number in this range who knows when their instrument was made. Any leads or information you good folks might be able to furnish me with will be hugely appreciated, and I thank all of you in advance for your trouble.

Since the BW and I are only slightly familiar with NE Canada [N S etc] , we hope this last storm has diminished by now. I have very little metal clar knowledge, but believe that some of the French cl mfgrs. did make some good metals, prob. back in 1900-30. Our expert, Jim Lande, earlier, put into our archives, a long list of makers and insts. , so if you go to Search [here] try and see what comes up, you might find some info. Prob. if J L sees this thread he will respond to help . Luck, Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

Noblet made metal clarinets on into the 1960s if not early 1970s. Someone posted that info on the bulletin board many months ago.
