It's close to a year now that I acquired my first clarinet (a great Leblanc LL) and discovered this wonderful web site. It's not easy to start at age 65 (neglecting a few years in my early teens on an Albert system horn, and off-and-on activity on my alto sax). I've learned a lot since then, not least through the mostly excellent info I received on this BB. Thanks, Mark (and now also GBK), for running it so efficiently and fairly! I have also actively participated, mostly to GET information and occasionally to PROVIDE some. I have also tried to sometimes add some lightness in the form of limericks or otherwise (not always appreciated!), often in tandem with GBK, Synonymous Botch, and others. Thanks to Mark, some of my more outrageous political statements were eliminated even before I could ask him, on reflection, to do so!
Through this BB, I feel I have met a lot of great and very capable people. I have enjoyed my skirmishes with the DOC and Gordon (NZ), and continue to be impressed, for example, with the encyclopedic knowledge of GBK, the down-to-earth humor of "Botch", the positive attitude of my role model Don Berger, the inquiring mind of Gordon (you should see him in action on the saxontheweb site!), the always-a-gentleman responses of Ken Shaw, etc., etc. There are many more I could mention but, to all of you, a profound thanks for participating in this worthwhile endeavor!
Now, if I could only correct some of my remaining technical weaknesses, such as operating the register key smoothly, and making sure that my left middle finger consistently and completely closes the D/A key hole, among other things!!!
Thanks to all of you once again! You (and my clarinet) have become an important part of my life.
Greetings,
Henry

I, and I'm sure all of WE , are both humbled, appreciative of and grateful for your "Annual Review", Henry. True, we are all "tied-together" by love, as in the Chorus Line [dance] lyrics, of a strange musical instrument, which presents many challenges to our dexterity and intellect. We will persevere, and perhaps overcome, in our various futures. TKS, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Diz...When I bought the Leblanc, I was still very naive and wasn't yet aware of the existence of the Buffet Mafia (I learned of it soon after on this BB). Ignorance is bliss!
