ok guys i got a mouthpiece of my own so i don' have to share with the other alto clarient player and my teacher and I found a way so both of us can play at our festival next week.So im really happy right now. So here's my question, the mouthpiece i got is a bundy and i was just wonder what quality are bundy's and also the mouthpiece has a number on it and i din't know what to get out of a 3, 4 or 5 so i went for the 3. But what are the numbers for on the mouthpiece i never got one before with a number on it. Anyway i think was a good deal 'cos i only had to pay $5 for it and a Bb one for free 'cos i was the first person in 10 years to buy an alto mouthpiece from that store.

Bundy is made by Selmer. These products are the less-expensive items made by Selmer. The number 2, 3 or 4 refers the the facing of the mouthpiece. The 2 is 60 thousands of an inch, the 3 is 63 and the 4 is 66. This refers to the tip opening (distance between the reed and the tip of the mouthpiece.)
Hope this helps! Good luck with your concert!

I think, you should go to a store where you can try the mouthpieces, don't go after the TM because "you ne'er know what cha gonna get".
I play bass many years ago but I still don't trust any mouthpiece if I can't try them for several days. Maybe it sounds a little nasty and naughty, but it comes back, when you buy a pack of reed and four is good out of the five.
