It looks to me like you'd need to buy 2... Good idea, because it means less leg. sitting against the mouthpiece. But yeah, I think you'd need two!

The website does describe it as a "novelty".
Howdver, I am more curious about the "A" clarinet mouthpiece that eliminates the stuffiness--has anyone tried that item????

OK here's the deal... I KNEW everyone would say its just like a hose-clamp and it's notworth it etc. etc., what I want to know is what the Pomarico Light Ligature is like IF anyone has tried it?

YES i knew they would say this too.
meanwhile- i have to say that the only player i've ever noticed using this particular ligature was Giora Feidmann, a true virtuoso musician whose sound i would not necessarily be interested in emulating(no disrespect intended)
however, some years ago i met and heard a German clarinet player called Andreas Weiss who had a similar set up- he had cut a Luyben plastic ligature in half and used this to achieve pretty much the same effect. He told me he was looking for the feeling of freedom he found in a string ligature, but without the inconvenience. His tone was quite beautiful to my 17 year old ears (my taste may have changed a bit since then, but from what i remember i think i'd still be impressed). I imagine that this option would grasp the reed just a little more securely than the Pomarico (an educated guess, having seen both but played neither).
