i took two days off from playing and i went to practice today. while i was practicing my embouchure just felt weak, i guess you could say "my chops weren't there". is there any way to fix this because i really need to practice today?

Do you do any kind of warmup before you launch into serious woodshedding, Krawfish3x? If you're at all tense, the embouchure is the first thing to suffer. I like to 'noodle' a while, just to loosen up and relax, before practice time - then limit myself to twenty minute segments; twenty minutes practice, ten minute break - twenty, ten, etc.

Sound advice. If you are physically tired or not 100% then your chops will also suffer. I find that if my chops are tired before I start a good gentle warm up does wonders.

Sometimes after not being able to practice for a day or two my embrochure is much better than usual.
