Has anybody ever played/heard any good duos with harp, or trios with flute and harp? I've seen a list of works, but am specifically looking for pieces that you would recommend. Thanks!

Consult Brymer [and Lawson] "Clarinet", bet they mention some. Don

Thanx, Mark, Don

Try a search on "Victorian Kitchen Garden"

Great stocking filler for Christmas and a super suite for performance. Not very difficult but very effective and lovely to play. To be recommended.

at Clarinetfest i spoke with Luigi Magistrelli after our recital, and the topic of "clarinet and harp" music came up- i have a harp playing friend whom i have played recitals with... and we have trouble finding repertoire. Mr Magistrelli has recorded a CD with a Harpist, and knows quite a bit of rep for this combination. I was to contact him via email so he could send me a list of repertoire (mostly classical/romantic era stuff i believe) but haven't got around to doing so. I will email him in the next week or so reminding him to send me his list, and forward this to you if you would like.
suggestions that i have played already
- Backoffen concertante for basset horn and clarinet, transcribed for clarinet
- Finzi clarinet concerto, 2nd mvt
- Debussy Two arabesques (clarinet and piano transcription)
- Ross Carey "Three New Years Preludes" for Harp and Clarinet, reccently performed at Clarinetfest 2003 (with Piano) and very well recieved

I think you should give the Ravel Introduction and Variations a try...nice piece!

David- yes the Ravel is a great piece. We've done it a lot. But now we want to play some concerts without strings... which is why I'm looking for duos and trios. Thanks!
