Last nite [Sat] 8-9 PM CDT, I just happened to turn on our "regional" NPR FM station and heard this ?Dutch? group-ensemble of 7-8 saxes [40 winds!! fine cl work, too], 3 rhythm, play VERY highly technical and melodic arrangements of some familiar and ?original? tunes. It was SOOO good, I muted the TV football sound to listen carefully. I believe it was said that they would be on next Sat eve, will see, and will ask our KRPS if they have CD'd to plaY. The "nearest" sax group I've heard recently was the Prism Quartet, Tim Reis et al. Anyone else heard the ?Bohunks" ? Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

Don...The Beau Hunks are a Dutch (?) group that has recorded the Laurel and Hardy and Little Rascals theme music among other interesting projects.
A Google search should turn up information as well as a recording discography ...GBK

TKS. GBK, I just knew you would have info!! I had qualms about the Bo pronouncing-spelling, since we oldies recognise it as a derrogatory of Bohemian, glad to put it to rest. Will search and learn more, much like "engage brain before opening mouth". GREAT music! Don
