Has anybody ever had the experience of playing a chadash clarinet? If so views and opinions would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks Studioline

It is said that the bottom notes (E, F, G) are so in tune, people swear they are sharp...

My teacher plays a matched set.
Wonderful instruments with superior execution of a proven design.
Be prepared to return visit every few months in the beginning, to have the instrument adjusted to your preferences (part of the personal touch).
Given the handbuilt process, delivery can take some time.
They are relatively inexpensive, compared to the larger maker's prices... and those instruments are not built with such tight supervision by the designer!
I have had the pleasure to play the Chadash clarinet set mentioned, and a similar instrument from Steven Fox of Toronto... both were transcendent devices that were in perfect adjustment.

Kelly Abraham, an New York freelancer and teacher, has switched from Buffet to Leblanc to Chadash instruments, which he says are superior to anything else he's played. He's a regular on the Klarinet board, and I suggest you try to contact him there.
Best regards.

I tried these recently while at Guy's. They are very fine instruments with great intonation, very even response and a rich colorful tone. They are starting to make their way into top orchestras. While they are more expensive than your average instruments, they are well worth the try for any serious player. You get what you pay for. As clarinetists we are spoiled. Other instrumentalists have accepted the cost of playing handmade instruments for years.

I have to say, I have just ordered a pair of Rossi clarinets after having tried a few pairs. Only the other day, though, when I was telling someone about my new buy, they asked me if I have ever tried Chadash clarinets to which I said no. They were truly raving about them. Has anyone ever tried both rossi and chadash, if so which did you like best?

The Rossis are wonderful. You will be very happy with that choice.
The delivery time on Chadash clarinets may exceed a year.
Don't expect to see any second hand, soon.

"The delivery time on Chadash clarinets may exceed a year."
If interested, check with Guy. I think he told me the time was currently around 6 months.

I've had my Chadash for a year now and I love it. I've never tried the Rossi.
