i broke in some reeds around last december, but i put them away and forgot about htem.
i just foudn them last week. do you think i need to break these in again, since i haven't played them in so long?

They're probably ready, just like MP says...
If your humidity levels have changed rapidly (warm today, is it?), you may wish to lay them out on a glass plate for a few minutes before playing.
If they sound good - off you go to the races!

whats your method of breaking in reeds? i know some people do the thing where they get a piece of glass and sandpaper and do a bunch of mumbo jumbo and others simply play them a few minutes each day then adjust them with a reed knife. im the kind of person that plays them for a few minutes each day then adjust and if thats the case i would do that in your case.

If you have the time, why not break them in again? The weather's completely different, and you know that going through another breakthrough process wouldn't HURT the reeds, so why risk it?
