Hi,

My copy of the Tema con variazioni arrived this morning. It is the Max Eschig edition.

I have a couple of questions! On the back of the piano part it lists the Tema con Variazioni as a work "Pour clarinette et orchestre a cordes". Has anyone ever heard the work performed in this form?

Also at figure 15 after the cadenza instead of the "tr" (trill symbol) it has "rr". Is this a growl? Because in Victoria Soames' recording on the Clarinet Classics label she trills it but I seem to remember (Stephen Charette's recital) the note is growled.

Which is correct?

Thanks,
Rob

P.S. How do you do the growl?!?!

Is it, perhaps, flutter?
