colla?

i have a score of music and it says "colla guitar" or "colla trumpet I" what does this mean?

so basically if theres a trumpet 2 part and no notes are written but it says "colla trumpet I" i would write the notes of the trumpet I part there?

Sometimes abbreviated "col" means to play the same part as......

Example: Col 1st Cl, means, play the first clarinet part.

My Elson's Mus. Dict. goes beyond "with" to "must accommodate to" , in phrasing/timing,etc, to the leading part! Don
