I ask because I recieved it from my local music store, however upon closer inspection, they sent me the wrong publisher. I asked for Carl Fischer. I made it very clear to them that I wanted Carl Fischer. And I was taken for granted and they ordered and sold me "Kendal" I think it is. I never really noticed it until I looked at the piano part and it looks like it was written for a beginning student. And I don't think that Weber's piano reduction would reduce to something so simple. So now I'm doubting that it's in the right key and don't want to practice the wrong key because "Kendal" decided to make it easier. Thank you.

The piano reduction of the Concertino is in Eb major (clarinet part is in F major).
The Carl Fischer edition (revised by W. Strasser) is catalog number is W1893 ...GBK

My Bonade-Hite edition is in Eb major throughout (F for clarinet). I've never heard it in any other key.

Thanks GBK. And thanks for the catalogue number. I'll be sure to tell them tomorrow when I return to complain and get my money back and re-order it (due to a lack of music stores within a reasonable distance). At least I know I'm practicing in the right key and my efforts aren't wasted.

The Concertino begins in c minor (d minor for the clarinet). At the beginning of the theme on which the variations are written, it goes into the relative major, Eb (F major for the clarinet) and continues that way to the end. The minor key variation is in eb minor (f minor for the clarinet).

Ken, of course is correct, as the piece starts in the relative minor and ends in major.

I have the Bb clarinet and piano version for Weber Concertino in Eb major, Opus 26. Edited by Reginald Kell. Looks like one flat all the way through.
