Recieved it yesterday, played a bit of it today. Wow. That's a fun piece! Tough for me, but I think it'll be doable after practice and at the end of the semester. I found my problem areas that I need to work on (certain runs, arpeggios, etc). I also can't seem to get the timing of certain parts down. I'll have to play it slower and really be careful subdividing in my head. Anyways, I just wanted to post that I'm glad I got it! I (ashamedly) haven't really practiced my clarinet in about two months cause school ended. Now I have this and I ordered the Baermann so hopefully this will keep my interest up into practicing throughout the rest of the year AT LEAST! (DISCLAIMER - I'm not a music major and I don't want to play as a profession which is why it's taken a back seat for so long. I just play for fun.)

Just needed to share my happiness. I'm also trying to save money for slight adjustments/modifications to my wonderful E-13 which has lasted me so far and sounds great. Great enough to make my teacher say when I first tooted it, "Hey. That sounds pretty good! Is that a buffet?" (long story). Thanks all. I'll give you all an update later on in December after I perform it for the music faculty for my grade in lessons.

If you prepare this piece carefully it'll be a blast to play! It takes awhile, though.

Be sure to check out Ken Shaw's message Dec. 15, 1999 on this BB. Look it up with the search (click on the small "search" above where you're reading). He's responding to another's question about the Concertino and provides quite the description of what to look for. It's very helpful.

Have fun with it!
