 Accubore Clarinet Bell
Author: Hiroshi
Date:   1999-02-16 06:22

Does anyone use this bell? I would like to know its effects.
They(DEG) say:
1)Fits all professional models
2)Made of precision bored,black anodized(what does this
mean?) aluminum/bronze alloy
3)Will not chip,crack,break or warp
4)Improves responses and tone quality
5)Improves focus and clarity of long tones
Really?(especially 4)and 5))

Hiroshi, this bells, barrels, rings and other toys are for very nasty tuning problems. A dead material, I mean metal or bakelite or ionized chewing gum won't improve your sound. And won't improve your tuning either. At least this is my experience. A wood will work with wood, the dead stuff will -mybe!- work with dead stuff.
This is what I think, but you should ask around more about it.
Plácido
