As recommended by my doctor I am looking for a flute head joint that is at a 90-degree angle. I saw one in a catalog in high school, but I do not know where it was. Any help would be great. Even just a push in the right direction would be great.
Thanks!

90 degrees? Most makers make a bent head joint at 270 degrees that brings the horn closer to your head. They are generally only for younger students but can help is you are suffering shoulder, neck or arm problems. They are generally only plated heads. Armstrong, Artley, Jupiter, Yamaha etc. all make them and a special case that holds both head joints.

If by this you mean a joint which will allow you to hold the flute vertically as you normally would a clarinet, there is a small ad every month in the International Musician for such a thing. It says to call Drelinger at 1-800-450-1151 for a brochure and demo CD. No other information is given.

I did a little research and concur with the above. I haven't sighted one though. I think they are a little like the bass flute head which is tricky to get used to.
