Hello all. I've seen a fair amount of knowledge on display here and I'm wondering if any of you could help me out with a small tone-production problem I've recently encountered--when I play an Eb (concert Db, lower register) with the right-hand Eb key I hear a great deal of air resistance, perhaps most easily described as stuffiness or airiness. With the alternate left-hand fingering, I don't have this problem it all; the note sounds clear. My suspicion is that the pad on the right hand key is not lifting far enough above the tone hole, partially blocking the air stream and preventing the note from sounding properly.
If this sounds at all correct, or if anyone has any other ideas (or needs me to explain my problem more thoroughly), please let me know. I just had a rather pricy overhaul done on the instrument and it sounds and plays fine otherwise. If there's any way I could fix my Eb issues myself I'd be very much relieved (and would have a fully playable instrument for perhaps the first time in my clarinet-playing existence).
Thanks
Chris

Upon re-examination the "problem" turned out to be a case of mis-alignment between the two joints. I'm relieved but a bit embarrassed.
