Anyone know of a mouthpiece that would be similar in facing
and style to the Opperman? And whether Opperman model is
considered a very close tip mouthpiece compared to others.

1. The Opperman is a close mouthpiece.
2. If all else fails, I'd refer you to an Opperman student for an assessment of relative closeness. Tom Ridenour gave me one of his Oppermans and I'd certainly refer you to Tom for a sound analysis. He studied with Kal Opperman when he was at Yale. As you probably know, he went on LeBlanc to improve the pedigree of its clarinets and now has his own business in Denton, TX. jbjr

Can you buy Opperman mouthpieces directly from him? Or does he just make them for his students? How about the price for them if you can buy them? His phone number? Thanks in advance.
