Dear all,
Since the closing of Woodwind and Brasswind here in NYC, I have been having quite a bit of trouble finding another clarinet store that is as reliable and trustworthy as WWBW. Currently I am looking to purchase an R13 and am searching for a new mouthpiece. If anyone can provide the names and adresses/websites/ph#s of sucj stores in NYC it would be greatly appreciated.

Call these repairmen in NYC. See what they have for sale, then ask their advice on who to contact in town for other new horns.

If you're going to be looking for a new horn and are around midtown. Try "The Music Store" it's directly across the street from Julliard. I can't remember the exact street it is on, but they should have a good selection or can order a bunch in for you to try. Plus they are all great guys there.

Aaron is referring to "The Music Store" run by Jonathan Watkins (who was formerly in charge of the old WW/BW in NYC) He is located at 44 West 62nd Street. (across from Lincoln Center) 212-541-9146 ...GBK

I have not been in Jonathan's store yet, but he is a great guy. He was the best thing about Weiner music when he worked there.

I remember Jonathan from the WWBW and he was extremely helpful.

Johnathan helped me find my Eb and it might be the best clarinet I own. His new store is on 62nd and Columbus and called something like Rayburn Music (formerly The Music Store).

If your willing to make the drive, its to my understanding that Fred Weiner's Store in Mineola, NY has a vast selection of supplies and instruments. You can find the information at www.weinermusic.com
