 Aussies-Looking for Sydney Teacher
Author: DezzaG

Hi one of my young students(around grade 4 at primary school) is moving from down here(tassie) up to Sydney in a few weeks and I am trying to find a new teacher for him, they are moving to the northern suburbs, so if anybody has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated. We have been working from the Mark Walton Off to a Great Start books from the beginning of the year and he is allready on the second one(high register)!
Thanks

Sydney has 15 times the population of Tasmania, son. Can you be a bit more precise about where in the northern suburbs of Sin City your innocent student is heading? :)

Otherwise, have you tried www.musicteachers.com.au? It's voluntary for teachers to sign on, so it's not exhaustive, but you may have some luck. (I'm not on it, by the way, so there's nothing opportunistic about this.)

By the way, sounds like the young bloke is doing all right to be on OTAGS book 2. That's a good recommendation to any teacher.

Cheers and good luck.

If you email me I will put you in touch with recent graduates of the Con in Sydney and current and past members of the Australian Youth Orchestra who are teaching in Sydney.
Cheers,
Andy H

Can't help you I am in Hurstville. Deep in the directly mid south of sin city. Try Tom Sparkes at Tom Sparkes Oboes, Hornsby. He will know somebody that side of the Hills district. Mark Walton at the Con is also a good source. If a jazz clarinet teacher is more in order let me know.
