Is everyone as excited as I am about Salt Lake City? Just curious who is going to be attending. Anyone else playing in the University Clarinet Choir?

See http://www.clarinetfest.org for details; yes, you can attend and pay money. You will be charged to become an I.C.A. member if you're nopt already a member (and receive the wonderful magazine The Clarinet for a year) and you will have to pay the registration fee. The registration fee depends on how long you'll be attending.

Mark has stated that we will post a note somewhere to try and get togeather for lunch, coffee, or whatever.

I am definitely going. Only a 3 hour drive for me. Dude - I live in Vernal, but unfortunately Hyrum is not on my way to Salt Lake. I will be playing in the clarinet choir for the non-university students. I am very excited about going.

I am going. I have never been to one. I live in PHoenix. I checked the box to play in a choir, but I don't know how that works, or how they assign players. If someone can fill me in on the particulars, I would be very happy.
Thanks

I had every intention of going....that is until the IRS screwed up on our tax return. The money I was going to use to pay for the trip is sitting somewhere....Ogden, Utah perhaps. Maybe I could go and pick it up. Looks like I will need to wait until next year.

Have fun all,
Jean

susyQ: you don't have to be good to go to the fest. if that was the case i would have to stay home. fest is a place to go and look and listen. you don't even have to bring your horn. Just tell everyone how great you are and they won't give a darn anyhow. it is just a great event to attend.n

Does anyone know what the appropriate dress is for the various events at ClarinetFest?

Summer casual (shorts, slacks, sandals, are fine even during the evening performances)
